THE NEGATIVE ONE
Chad Wago is a Honolulu-based podcaster with experience performing stand-up comedy, long and short form improv, hosting bar trivia, acting and writing sketch comedy, and producing and promoting live comedy events. |
He began bombing stages across Hawaii in September 2011, which should never be shortened to month-slash-two-digit-year format. Other than stand-up comedy, he may be best know as the third man alongside James Mane and Russell Kealoha on Guys With Issues: Hawaii’s podcast. In addition, Wago co-hosts What's Up With That Bro, a podcast about Lost, and Richard Island - a youtube show co-hosted with Tony Karratti (his third show alongside Karratti after Chad & Anthony on the Couch, and the Lucha Con HaHa wrestling podcast). With a mix of topical or pop-culture based humor, as well as personal stories about bad decisions, other comics describe him as “pretty funny, I guess,” and “easy to work with.”
He has opened for comics such as Natasha Leggero, Moshe Kasher, Doug Stanhope, Tim Heidecker, Neil Hamburger, Brad Williams, Graham Elwood, Edwin San Juan, Eddie Ifft, Sammy Obeid, John Campanelli, K-Von, Sam Tallent, and Luke Ashlocke. His improv team It's Not Wolves performed at the Improvaganza festival in 2015. Wago was also a writer and actor on OC16's Almost Local.
